Originally from Montreal, Bruce lived in Qatar for the past 14 years. He began his career producing theatre and movies in the early 2000s. And then practiced law in Ontario, Saudi Arabia and Qatar with some of Canada’s largest international law firms.
In 2018, Bruce began dedicating his time to investing and originating business opportunities for merchant bank, m3ei Capital, a merchant bank that focuses on investing in and incubating companies with high growth potential or EBITDA of between 300K and 3M USD. m3ei Capital successfully exited its first investment, a mining project in Saudi Arabia, in early 2022.
Bruce has successfully led Track II efforts and managed cross-border teams, driving strategic initiatives in challenging business environments such as Romania, Jordan, Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Russia and China. Leveraging his expertise as an investor, entrepreneur, and lawyer, Bruce has developed a deep understanding of international trade policy, global governance, and risk mitigation. His leadership has supported foreign affairs objectives, enhancing Canada's global standing and soft power. Bruce is a trusted advisor to governments, multinational organizations and some of the most wealthy and influential people in the world because he simply always gets the job done.
Bruce is a non-practicing member of the New York and Ontario bars. He holds LL.L./MBA and LL.B. degrees from the University of Ottawa and an LL.M. degree from Cornell University Law School. In 2012, Bruce was awarded, Queen Elizabeth II’s Diamond Jubilee Medal for his exceptional service to Canada internationally.
